It’s nearly time.

A week to go.

Are we ready?  Almost.  Murray is currently building a drawer system for the back of the Navara. I’ve been baking some goodies, just have some meal preparation to do, so we can relax on the odd night.

Thursday is looming. We have our groceries now, ready to pack into the new drawers. Need to reorganise the pantry with important stuff to the front, ie things we will use regularly.

The house has been cleaned. Why? Because I like to leave it that way. It’s up to the boys to take care of it before I return. Probably a rush the day before we return. Ironing of uniforms has been taught to Simon and some cooking lessons done. The washing is something they have both been taught before so they should be ok. Not that they will be worried.

I have two work days to go, Monday and Tuesday-7 hours all up. Murray has three to go. We both have Wednesday off to do the final pack up, then hit the road.

We are beginning to get excited but at the moment we are worn out from everything that has gone into our preparation including the projects Murray has had to complete at work as well as at home.

That’s the update for now. Will post again before thee big day.

I’m sure the boys will have the mess from the party and the carpets cleaned by the time you get back. I just wish our departure date was as close as your’s is.
    Have fun,

  2. oh so close now! hang in there – all the hard work will be worth it I promise and I’ll have the wine chilled and waiting for when you get up here! Can’t wait to see where your travels take you! Exciting, exciting!
