Just a short post to let you know that after around 3,800kms, bags of natural confectionery lollies, red frogs, licorice all sorts, tons of fruit, loads of laughs, visiting new and old family members on both sides, making many new memories, taking lots of photos (425 so far), meeting lots of new friends along the way and getting to know each other again we have finally arrived in Malanda for two weeks with Murray’s parents.
It is nice to be in one place for more than just a few nights, and, I can catch up on some TV, washing and relax with yoga again. We arrived yesterday, Tuesday, around 3.30 in time for a cuppa. It was a lovely surprise for Rus and Gladys as they thought we were arriving on Thursday or thereabouts. The smiles and hugs were well worth the journey.
We now have time to recharge our own batteries and reorganise the things we have noticed need tweaking along the way. Clean out the car and give it a wash. Air out the camper and our bedding. Cook more exciting meals.
We will post lots of photos, while we are here, of the tablelands and surrounds and our proposed trip to Mount Surprise and O’Briens Creek for some fossicking. So watch this space for more of our adventures.
