Every trip to the Tableland, no matter the season, it has become our tradition to go to Lake Eacham, so why should this trip be any different.

Monday morning was another beautiful day and after a home day on Sunday we decided to go for another rainforest walk. This is the first time we have done the walk around the Lake and, boy are we glad we chose to do this walk…spectacular. This just confirms to us that this is the best swimming hole, picnic area and all out prettiest spot, ever.

The walk took us an hour and was 3km long. Ok, so why did it take so long, you may ask. It’s not because we didn’t put the effort in. There were just so many things to see and stopping for photos was a must, which we took plenty of. No matter where we looked there was something to make us go “Wow!”. Breathtakingly beautiful is all I can say. If you are ever up here take the time to enjoy Lake Eacham, we do.
Monday night dinner was silverside and veges at Myra and Stewart’s, Murray’s sister and brother-in-law. Myra made a favourite dessert of mine, cheesecake and we shared many laughs and stories.

We just keep on having a great time and neither of us is missing work. Now to get ready for our boys to come visit for a week. Can’t wait.

Yep – totally agree Lake Eacham is ‘da bomb’ best swimming hole in Oz! I haven’t done the walk since I was a kid – you’ve inspired me to do it in the next few weeks – might see if mum will join me! Love the photo of Mum’s kitchen and looked like a nice night!
