As you know from my previous post we have nine weeks off.
Our first week was spent at home with all the preparations being made for our trip. After a quick day trip to Orange for Mother’s Day we needed to get organised. Cooking, washing, ironing, and icing Aunty Helen’s birthday cake for me. Preparing the camper and vehicle and mowing lawns for Murray. With all that done we set of on Thursday 14th May and spent the next five days in Orange where we thughly enjoyed some family catch up time while we stayed on Tim and Robyn’s property at Nashdale.
Aunty Helen’s party on the Saturday went off without a hitch with 75 family and friends sharing a very special time with her. She says it was the best day of her life and she loved her cake. It was great to catch up with family which we don’t get to see very often. Mum made it to the party and although tired she wasn’t going to be first to leave. She was absolutely wrecked afterwards though and slept well. The partying continued out at Robyn and Tim’s place that night with plenty of laughter, food, drinks and many stories shared.
Our boys headed back home on Sunday morning. I felt a little sad to see them go as we wouldn’t be returning home just yet and I would miss them. The next couple of days for us were spent with mum and some quality time together.
