2 weeks today people. Yes, you heard me.
Murray and I leave in two weeks on the adventure of a lifetime. Well, for us anyway. Six months away from our boys and the rest of our families is a long time but we are looking forward to the open road again.
We will be leaving home on Good Friday, 25th March, and heading to Orange for an Easter with the family. Looking forward to seeing all my cousins and Aunty Helen before we leave. I will miss them all as they are a big part of my life.
Then it is onward to Far North Queensland where we will spend time with Murray’s parents in Malanda. The first big camp will be at Lake Tinaroo with around 20 of us for the Anzac long weekend. Andrew and Simon will fly up to meet us there and then we say goodbye to them again (I will try not to cry, but we won’t be seeing them again for a while), as they head back to Albion Park and we venture on.
After this we will head upwards to somewhere, maybe Cooktown, we don’t have an agenda as such. Our aim is to make it to the centre, climb the “rock” and head from there to the Kimberley’s, probably via Darwin and other places along the way.
We want to head down through Pannowinca and catch up with our niece Bethany and family, then Perth and surrounding areas, across to South Australia and home through the Flinder’s Ranges.
Six months sounds a long time but it will fly once we hit that road and if we can’t achieve it all then so be it.
That’s it folks. We will blog each week and keep you all up-to-date. We are getting excited now and a little apprehensive on my part.
